Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. This tool runs in your browser session. We use a cookie to tie uploads to your current session so you can see recent files and download results.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no payment step and no paid tier on this site. The site may show ads in some regions or layouts.
Which formats are supported?
We accept common audio and video containers: MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, WEBM, and OGG. If a file fails, try exporting to a simpler format (for example WAV or MP3) before upload.
Are there limits?
Yes: 100 MB and 45 minutes of audio per file, five uploads per hour, and up to 10 conversion jobs in one browser session. A recording longer than the limit is better split at a pause between topics than cut mid sentence.
How long are files kept?
About an hour after the conversion finishes, both your upload and the subtitles made from it are deleted from the server automatically. Until then the audio stays available so you can play it against the text in the editor. You can also delete a job yourself at any moment, and if you clear cookies or the session ends you lose access to the list sooner, so download what you need as soon as the job completes.
How accurate are the subtitles?
Quality depends on audio clarity, background noise, accents, and language. The output is machine-generated. For broadcast or legal use you should review and edit the SRT in your editor of choice.
Do you train AI on my files?
No. Your recordings and subtitles are not used to train any model, are not published and are not shared with anyone. Both are deleted from the server about an hour after the conversion finishes. The Privacy policy spells out what little we collect and for how long.
