How to convert audio to SRT
This guide matches how Audio to SRT works: upload, queue, download. No account is required.
1. Prepare your file
Use a clear recording when possible. Heavy background noise, overlapping speakers, and very low volume make any automatic transcript worse. If your editor exports video, MP4 usually works; for pure audio, WAV or MP3 are reliable choices.
2. Upload
Open the upload page, choose a file or drag it into the drop area, and start the conversion. You can keep up to ten jobs in one browser session.
3. Wait for processing
Longer files take longer. The job page refreshes while work is queued or running. Leave the tab open or bookmark the job URL until the status shows completed.
4. Download and review
Download the .srt file and open it in your editor or player. Read through the first minute: fix punctuation, speaker labels, and rare misheard words. Machine output is a draft, not a finished broadcast caption.
5. Store what you need
Files here are temporary. Save your SRT locally or in your own cloud - do not rely on the site as archive storage.
