Subtitles for podcasts
Podcasts are audio-first, but text still matters. Many listeners skim episode pages, search engines index text easier than audio alone, and some audiences prefer reading captions in noisy environments.
What to transcribe
Start from your master export (WAV or MP3). If you only have a video container, extract audio first or upload the video file if your converter accepts it.
Edit for reading, not only for ASR
Automatic transcripts are a good first pass. Tighten filler words if your brand is formal, add spellings for names, and break long sentences into short subtitle lines. Short lines are easier to read on mobile.
Reuse carefully
The same text can seed show notes or blog posts. Always review for accuracy before publishing under your name.
